Post Toyota new competition for the L's???

Uhh
I'm 100% a Dodge man... and I was hoping that Dodge was gonna have the next real competition for yall L's, but Toyota!! http://www.pickuptruck.com/html/auto.../tundrasc.html
That just makes me sick!!!
I'd never buy a damn Toyota! (Looks like crap to me too)

Long Live the American Muscle!!!

(Sorry, just scares me that Toyota is making a truck with a blower)

Wow is that FUGLY!!!!

I wonder where they got the idea for the seats????

340hp and 475ft-lbs torque at 5 lbs. of boost. Knowing Toyota it will go 0-60 in around 7 seconds. They have not been abe to make anything go fast since the last Supra. I am sure they will want big $$ also.

The numbers are actually quite impressive for only 5psi. More torque than our Ls and much lighter. However the truck is butt ugly and the interior is a total rip off.

If the drivers are anything like the Tacoma and Tundra drivers we'll be racing all around town. Those and the Nissan Maxima drivers seem to think no one can beat them.

If Toyota makes these, you can be sure that

1) The intercoolers won't leak
2) The front end wont go "grack"
3) The paint-job won't look like a citrus fruit

As a potential owner in a few years I like it !
I just think the banner can go. Oh, and the side mirrors can match the color of the truck instead of that two tone paint scheme...

Tell me If I'm wrong, But have you guys noticed Toyota is trying to copy off Ford trucks. Notice the tundra's interior looks a littel like the F150 lariat, and now this truck has a blower, interior and dash that is trying to look like our L's.

Yes we can be sure that if toyota makes it the thing will be about 10xs as reliable as our Lightnings. My mom has an older lexus but the engine runs smooth and quiet like new. I believe the 4.7 is actually a Lexus motor, and as ugly as it may be I think if toyota makes it we could very well be in for some whoopings.

Toyota has been copying Ford for 25 years! Remember the celicas of the mid-late 70's! They looked an awful lot like the mustang. The new celicas have a lot Mustang design cues too. If you can't beat'em copy'em! Lloyd

I've noticed the same thing about Toyota copying Ford...
Some times, I'll be driving, and think in my head.. "yep, another F150.... nope, just a stupid toyota.."

Oh well.... They gotta copy us somehow to be successful..
