Spark Plug (TR6) Question

Before I button this thing back up I just noticed that a table I printed out from the archives that brahmus posted in Nov 06 lists the NGK TR6/IX. I noticed the TR6 plugs I ordered are a V-notch standard electrode. Most of the references and posts I read just made reference to "TR6" plugs. The factory plugs have a small electrode. Are there different electrode type TR6 plugs - should I have asked for TR6/IX plugs?

Just the plain-jane TR-6's with the large old style electrodes are sufficient, Those are the ones I was advised and use. Good Luck.

Well, they (TR6 V-power) were in; and then they were out; and now they are back in. PSP suggested .034 gap instead of the .038 I had them originally set at, so I had to pull them and reinstall. Hope these dam@ things last a year or two.

If you changed them right...change them again about 15k later you should be ok.

I just switched from the TR7IX to the plain TR6 after eating the insulator on one plug and having the electrode partially melt on another after 2 years and about 15K miles. The truck runs just as well with the standard TR6 plug. Have two friends running them as well w/ no issues.
