Well my L has yet again another problem. I went to start it up and then it just died on me. It did this like 20 times in a row. It wont stay running. Then i had the tow truck driver put it on the flat bed and then it stayed running. Its got me confused. I also niticed their was alot of water comeing out the exaust. I dont know if this is related to it not staying running. But it just didn't seem right. Has anyone else had this problem before or know what it might be.

 

do you have a chip? maybe it has a bad connection... pull it out and try to start it.
look at your intercooler tank to see if the fluid level is in between the fill lines.
if it is leaking, that may cause the water coming out of the exhaust.

Seems that this problem is either the result of bad chip, loose chip. or fuel line in tank blown off of fuel pump.

The symptoms sound like a fuel blockage or the pump going bad. When my pump went it would stumble idle for 20 seconds or so after atarting then stall. It was flatbed towed to my dealer as well.

Well i dont have a chip yet. Im waiting on it to be shipped to me. still haven't heard anything from the dealer. I'll keep you posted on whats going on. I checked the IC before it was towed. I was hopeing to find it empty, but it was full. I just had it replaced about 1000 miles ago. Does anyone know what the lemon law satates about having the same problem over and over again?

The "lemon law" has undergone many changes and I'm not sure of the current version which may be well worth looking into; however, it use to say that if the same item was repaired three times and the vehicle still malfunctioned it was considered a lemon under the law. Any battle you get into in the courts with Ford will last 5-6 years and to benefit from any financial result, if there ever is one, you have to be the original owner of the vehicle and you still have to own it. Most people trade off way before then.
