"Lightning Drop" (Long but informative)
In the January issue of truckin, it advertises a drop kit specifically made for the Lightning. Here is what is says, "So-Cal Speed Shop introduces its new Ford F-150 and Lightning lowering kits. The So-Cal kit resolves the bottoming out problem experienced when these trucks are lowered. In addition, the So-Cal kit keeps the rear sway bar in alignment and resolves the problem with broken shocks on some kits while maintaining the load capacity of the truck and improving the ride. This So-Cal kit includes Eibach front springs, bumpstops, a rear hanger kit complete with shackles, and an extra leaf for the leaf spring, a rear shock extension kit, a rear sway bar endlink kit, and an alignment kit. The Lightning kit is designed to lower the truck 1.75 inches in the front and 3 inches in the rear, while the F-150 kit brings the front down 2-1/2-inches in front and 4 inches in the rear. P.S. I do not work for So-Cal Speed Shop, or Truckin' Mag. Just wanted to pass on some possibly helpful information.
