Question Paging TBL - what's up with jack

TBL - What kind of jack are you using to lift your L when you work on it? I have a heck of a time getting my 3 ton jack under mine and your truck is lower than mine. Maybe it's just the way I go about jacking it up but the first few inches are killer.

My guess would be the 2.5 ton jack. The 2 ton jack does not raise high enough to raise a stock L. If the L was lowered a lot, maybe a 2 ton would work but if not, it takes a 2.5

2.5 Ton it is....

I lift the rear under the differential.
The fronts under the control arms.
It's a little difficult to get under the ground effects anymore but still able(barely).

Up front I cant get my 3 ton under the truck when I have low-profile tires on. I just take the stock jack or a small 2-ton I have and put it under the side framerail. Jack up a few inches and the front comes up enough to put the 3 ton in.

I was always told its a bad idea to use the differential as a jacking point. Is that BS???

You guys just need a short piece of 2x12 wood! drive on it it & stop then you have an extra 1 3/4" clearance. Lloyd
