YAAAAA The Michelins are on-So far I like them

You Guys
The Michelin Latitude Tour HP's came in way early, so I got them installed today.

I only got about 30 or 40 miles on them so far, but first impressions are awesome. While the tread pattern is not the most fancy or special looking, I am pleased with the overall look. It is hard to tell from the pictures, but they are at least 1/2 inch, and maybee even 3/4 inch wider than the Toyos. The Rears are very wide *****. The fronts are closer to the same size as the Toyos, maybee 1/4 inch or so wider. It is hard to tell, but the Michelins might also be a tad taller than the Toyos. Though it doesn't seam to effect the speedometer at all.

On the Highway they are so much smoother, so far no wandering, and the truck doesn't pull to the left anymore. With the Toyos I used to feel every expansion joint, and bump in the road, the new tires just soak them up, and you barelly feel them.

Around corners they are much more predictable, the rear allways felt like it wanted to come around with the Toyos, but not anymore.

I haven't had a chance to test them out in the rain, but they have to be better than the toyos.

By the time I got home it was starting to get dark, so really couldn't get any good pictures. I did take 3 to give you a idea what they look like.

Rear 315/35/20

Front 275/40/20

OPPs I just edited my post
I am running 315/35/20's on the rear on 20x10 wheels

The tires are the same overall diameter as the stock Eagle F1's

Here is a pic with my Toyos, same size as the new tires

I didn't want to show my truck dirty, But Oh well here is a pic with the New Michelins

I will get some better side pics with the Michelins in the next day or so

I dont care if you show your truck with you dull new tires OR NAKED
(naked truck that is) I'M STILL GONNA WHOOP YOU *** on the 1320

Looking good Don and you can never go wrong with Michelins...
I use to get all into the thread pattern too but I have to admit there is a huge diff when you have a nice set of matching tires compared to this up front and that out back.

Best of Luck with them
See you on the 1320 sucker ; o )...

Very nice Don hopefully your tire guy didnt balk too much about shoehorning the 315's on the rear wheels.....they look good, let us know how you like them after the next few thousand miles.

well it has been a few more days and about 150 more miles. The more I drive, the more I like these tires. The ride is smoother, no more vibrations till the tires warm up. With the toyos if I had a bottle of water you could see the liquid shaking a little. Now if you have a bottle, there is no shaking or anything.

Before when going around corners, you would have to make small little corrections all the time. Now you just set the wheel at a spot, and you don't have to make any of those little corrections. I took a exit ramp that I used to have a hard time at about 45-50mph, now I can take it at over 60 mph no problems. I might have been able to take it a little faster, but came up on a slower vehical.

It now feels a lot like it did when I had the stock F1's I can still smoke the rear tires at will, but thats more due to 600+rwhp and 30 degree weather. I will let you know if they grip a little better when it warns up. I don't know how they will be in the rainm but will let you know

So while these are not the cheepest tires, boy do they ride nice

I too grew to hate my Toyos. I got rid of them with still about 1/2 the tread life still in them. I wasn't aware of the Michelins. Went back to F1s.

Got a week or so more miles on the new tires since I last reported. I am liking them more and more each day. I had figured that maybee having wider tires on the rear was the reason the rear liked to break loose sometimes. Now I know it had nothing to do with wider rear tires, as it is now solid as a rock.

I even drove in the rain the other day, and the Michelins are much, much better in the rain

Thank god the Toyos are long gone.
