New Engine, Help??

It is almost time to order my motor but was unsure of one thing. My L is a 2000
and needs a short block, the question is will my 2000 lower intake fit on a new 2003-04 block? I have heard that something is differnt on the lower intakes of the older L's, but what exactly is it? Or is there any retro fitting?

Also if i were to put my new heads on a new shortblock would my 2000 lower intake work?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Kevin

should fit... IIRC the difference between the 99-00 and 01+ is a different intake runner design, and different bolt pattern for the blower to bolt to.

the blocks and heads are the same b/w the years. But the 99-00 intakes were a bit different than the 01-04's. The main diff being that the S/C used 6 bolts in 99-00 and used 8 in 01-04.

just going by memory

the later heads had more threads in the spark plugs holes but that was the only real diff on the heads.
