Question intercooler failures

If you've had an intercooler failure, please report it here:
http://www.bonforums.com/complaintform_lightcooler.htm

Ford and NHSTA will be reviewing the information for a possible recall and upgrade.....so your input is essential.

I hope all that had or are having this "intercooler leak" are reporting it to BLUE OVAL NEWS. With the amount of people on this forum that have had this problem, FORD should actually want to come up with a permanent solution. In the additional comment section, I simply stated that ALL 1999-2000 FORD LIGHTNINGS should recieve the 2001 intercooler setup, with NEW blower.

I hope you all tell them the same, I know I dont need to worry about this when my warranty expires It could start getting expensive... besides,I'll need my money for more MODS

I hope this gets better response then the recent one requesting input on the Blue Oval site. Suddenly it seemed that no one had intercooler problems. Everyone is quick to moan about their problems here, and post red frowning faces, but when asked to help in the effort they are suddenly gone. I posted my report.

I'm trying to ascertain a common list of parts used for this repair. NOWHERE on my paperwork did it list intercooler or supercharger. My thread is here..... https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/007019.html

I also got an e-mail from Ford Sales. Thanks Jim. If he can take the time to alert everyone it should be a no brainer to reply on Blue Oval...my .02
Also agree swith Spiro(again). It isn't if, but when the intercooler will leak.

My intercooler hasn't leaked but I want to thank you guys for registering your problems. Because of you, if I do have an issue with mine, it will hopefully be easier for me to get Ford to fix it. You guys are really helping out your fellow Lightning owners! I only have 7600 miles on mine and I check the intercooler resovoir weekly. I'm not really expecting problems this early in the game. I'll be interested to see what it does between 10-15k. That could take me another year though.
