Going in for Clunk Repair
I'm taking my 99 in for the control arm bolt and washer replacement Thursday. I asked the service advisor if they reallign or at least check the allignment after and he said only if the repairman feels it necessary. Can somebody let me know if reallignment is part of the tsb or is it a must after the repair. In otherwords should I leave without having them check it.
Thanks

I had the same question and I asked my cousin who works for a Ford dealer about the details. As of the 17th of this month there wasn't a TSB out on it yet but there is a "Special Service Message" for it. (Special Service Message number is 14417) It states that they should replace the bolt, washers, etc but nothing about alighnment. I don't know if that means it's a judgement call or..? If you want to see it in print, post your e-mail and I'll scan it and send (or post) a copy of the service printout from the Ford computer for you to read.
