Jim, I vote for AAD. I plan to put this hood on my '01 silver L. The other hoods look more "blocky"; although still better than stock.

FORD SALES
the cervini looks like it would be the best for ram air. I guess no one has tested the air flowing possibilites of both.

imo the aad seems to compliment the lines of the truck, it just looks smoother and meaner.
however if you threw the cowl into the question i would have to vote for that one.

I saw Spiro's hood in person. The Mystic color looks pretty cool, not to overbearing, but mystical...

Well I think the AAD hood looks as good on red as does black. The red bolts not only can do purges but can back them up. He, He for Lightning Kid & Wyldman. I also included some pix to look at but I think the AAD hood goes well with the lines of the Lightning. Add chrome rims and a very good lowering kit with a high performance suspension and you will be walking out with trophies for autocross, truckshows and drag racing.

BTW-Some secret stuff...

AAD hood get's my vote. Awesome looking hood. I'm not interested in nitrous but I think I would hook up a CO2 bottle just to get some awesome purges like that a stoplights. Talk about freaking out the competition........

nytling92,
Mail on the way, kinda hard to capture the mystic in photos, I think I caught a few good shots. The dominant color is green, but theres also blue, purple, gold, copper looks a lot better in person, in fact theres probably at least 15-20 L owners that have seen it in person.

Cool

I personally like the Cervini hood best and will probably go that route, but all are excellent in design and suit the truck well. I had a 98 Cobra so the Cobra look is not at the top of my list...but don't get me wrong it does look VERY good on the Lightning.

I think that the AAD hood really looks sweet.
Is it a quick and easy direct swap or does it involve some extra prep aside from hardware changeover and paint match?
black is really mean looking. Anyone seen one on a silver y2k L?

From what I know, the hood swap is real easy. No extra, or new supports needed. I read somewhere, where there was a concern about the Cervini hood being too heavy for the stock hood support, but It holds it up.

Both look awesome, but I think my route will be towards the F1 Cobra Hood (AAD) When my L comes in.
