What's Up Guys I Have A 2000 L And I'm Not Running Any Mufflers!!!! It Sounds Insane But I'm A Little Worried About Damage Because It Back Fires Like Crazy When I Really Get On It! Any Advice???? Thanx

 

If the enginei s truely 'backfiring' you have bigger problems than no mufflers.
Possibilities could include:
Ignition
Fuel
ECU
Problem with a custom tune
a vast array of sensors
or driver error

in either case I woud not drive the truck untill I got the problem figured out and fixed.

 

Been runng a x-pipe no real mufflers for 2 years and not a single problem. LTNDave is right.

My 99 has the muffler removed with no problems. I kept everthing else though, like the 4 cats.
