There are plenty of these trucks that went straight to storage units. There's rumor of a guy here in the Greensboro area that has 1 of each year, with only the miles it took to get them onto and off of the delivery truck. You know how those a friend of a friend of a friend stories go though. Could be BS.

LOL, Everything is fore sale for the right price!!
I just doubt anyone would want to fund my daughters college for a lightning.
hopefully some day it will bring some decent money. at least enough to cover the purchase price, and insurance and registration and fluid changes for the next 15 or 20 years.

I find that hard to believe. He must have never drove it since he bought it. Is that the mileage on the truck, motor, or what? That means he only drives it 149 miles a year. Why bother even having it?

that is the actual milage. here is a link to my gallery.

I bought it out of NC 2 summers ago with 1670 miles on it. my plan is to drive it less than 200 miles a year. it does get driven weekly when the roads are clear and not salty. it has never seen rain since I owned it as well as stated by the previous owner. I have never washed it with a hose. When it is necessary, I will use water in a mister bottle to wash it so as not to get it down in any cracks where it can sit and rust. I do fluid changes regularly. it has the original tires.
It was featured in Hemmings Muscle Machines last January too. so it is real.

BTW that white gen2 with the stripes is sweet. is that one yours?

Jody, its a done deal then bud! I will gladly fund her college. I will even pay her transportation to the recruiters office of her choice. She does 4 years protecting and serving our country, learns about life and responsibility, learns a trade, all the while I will continue to pay my taxes which help support one of the greatest benifits out there, the GI Bill. Lemme know when she's ready to sign up, I'll be ready to give her a ride, and I'll even let you hold onto the truck till then!

383svt, You got yourself a gem there. The white gen II and the black gen II are mine. The white one is an 04 and the black one is an 01. I am prob. going to be removing the stripes becuase I picked up a 4 inch cowl hood for it. The stripes came on the truck when I purchased it. Anyhow I see that you live in CT. Do you go to any meets or events around here? I am looking forward to this summer. My father runs a big car show in April at the Berlin Fair grounds. I will have both of my L's there as long as the weather is nice. Let me know this summer if you are ever in the area.

Jeff

We have a 99 with 18000 miles on it. It's not that we never drive it, it's just that here in Michigan if you can avoid it, you don't drive it in the winter since they go crazy with salt. Our truck still looks factory fresh, even after 7 years.

I hear that Tom. My trucks don't go back out on the road untill June when the sand and salt is all gone.
