That wheel standing Dodge was very popular years ago. Every store had a model kit "Revell" or whateva...that one was right next to the "Star Trek" USS Interprise..Don Garlits front engined drag car...the Hall Chaparrel...the Ford GT40Mk? Lemans hellraiser...the Batmobile...model building was big then..now they lock the glue up that we used to use..'cause the kids sniff it..

I think I still have my Don Garlits front engine dragster "Swamp Rat" somewhere. It was the first dragster to break the 200MPH 1/4.

I am sure the Little Red Truck is the one. The Mopar guys I know all seem to want one. So it is worth having if for nothing else to clean up and sell. Think it may be the first of the performance trucks. Weren't they built around 77-79.

 

Built in both '78 & '79. One of the quickest American vehicles those years. 225 horse 360 cubic inch. Saw one web page claiming magazine test of 15.7 quarter.

In 78 it was the fastest built in the US. In 79 it got dual cats and the T/A got 20 more ponies to edge it out. I read the 225 HP before myself but it had way more than that. It had a hotter cam than the 275 HP 340 and a 800 CFM Thermoquad carb. I owned a 79 for 10 years. The times were more like low 15's. In 78 one mag run a 14.7. I beat more than one late 70's model vette's in mine. There's your history lesson for the day. LOL.

I saw one of the Little Red Trucks the other day for the first time. Some guy down the street from my Dad has one. Its a pretty sweet truck.
But, like the Lightning, many people have no idea what a valuable vehicle it is.
