PCV Number

Anyone know the part number for the PCV? Could this be the culprit on all the oil that is getting into my air filter, MAF, and throttle body?

I don't think it is the PCV, I just looked at it and seems to be fine.

I had the same problem and it was the pcv system. There have been a ton of complaints on this very same issue. Use the search tool to find "pcv". There should be at least 20+ threads on the problem and different types of fixes from deleting the pcv and replacing them with breathers to an oil seperator that catches most of the oil.

The pcv will still work. It will seem like its working correctly but it does allow oil to be drawn into the intake on both the driver and passenger side. You have the same problem as many before you.

Being a senior member, here since 04, you probably already know all this but I wasnt sure....

If I can figure out how to post my pics I will. I got some on TALON and they said it looked like a lot of oil (more than normal). I just want a couple more opinions.

I bought my L new in July of 2001 - and I was amazed how much oil was in my boot and throttle body after just 1000 miles. Changing your PCV won't make any difference. Use the "search" button to find out about oil in the intake system.

Check my oil problem thread. I have searched a lot, I don't usually ask a lot of questions until I can not find anything. Thanks for your input though.

You need an in line oil separator device and a Mustang GT (4.6) pcv valve to help control the "oil in the intake" problem.

Here is an example of a separator from LFP:

OK man, I did a quick search on this for you, the links are below. I know you wanted several different opinions on what the problem might be but I think everyone is trying to point you in the same direction.......
