i am very close to getting enough guts up to go to the dealorship to get a lightning, how long on average will it take to come in?

 

The run on the '00's is over I believe. The dealer would have to find one willing to do a rollback or swap if they don't have one. They won't start building the '01's until Dec(if you're lucky) or Jan, could even be later. If you do order one of the '01's I'm sure it'll be later than the date they say so that you'll end up gnawing your fingernails down to the bone waiting for it. However tasty that may be they get here when they get here, besides, you'll ruin your dinner .

New models start rolling off the line around the March time frame and usually go through Aug or Sept. Put a deposit down now, pay when it comes in or get you deposit back if you change your mind. I only put $500 down, ordered in Sept 99 and got it March 00'.
