What would be a good price to sell my amp for?
I have an xtant 202m that I am going to sell. What would be a good price? It is less than 3 months old and in perfect shape.
I also have an amp for sale. I bought it about 3 years ago and only used it for a couple of months. It is in very good shape and has all the original boxes and manuals. Any one have any suggestions about what it is worth? It's a Rockford 400.4 4 channel amp that does 100x4. It is the 98 model which is the good ones. The year after this one rockford started mass producing these amps and selling them in places like best buy.

Depends how fast you wanna sell it.
I had two Precision Power Powerclass amps (the carbon fiber ones), two 10" Powerclass subs, Sony cassette unit, 10 disc changer, and more, less than 2yrs. old, sold it ALL for 700 plus shipping.
Couldn't afford to wait so placed an ad here for ridiculously low price and had 5 or 6 offers in the first couple days, money couldn't have come at a better time and the Ford engineer/Lightning owner I sold it to got a killer deal.

Any amp is compatible with the stock h/u. It takes special connections and a little know how to get it hooked up and functioning 100% The sound should not suffer at all. Feel free to e-mail me. Floyd91@worldnet.att.net
Hey Floyd91 it was stated here before that using an amp with the stock unit would cause loss of sound quality, this is really what discouraged me from putting in aftermarket sound. I really want to keep the stock head unit, not only because I like it, but it will look cleaner and less chance of someone breaking into your car (yes I've had my car broken into even with detachable face removed - they go for amps, speakers, cds, etc. With stock head unit they don't think you have anything special). Anyways I would really appreciate it if you could explain how to hook up aftermarket amps to the stock head unit without sacrificing sound quality.
I am thinking of two 15" strokers in the back Polk seperates in the front. I like the audiobahn amps, any experience with them? I loved my PPI amps, clearest amps I've ever heard. What else would you recommend? What about for power? I don't want to use the stock battery. Would I also need a larger alternator? Will this cost HP?

I am interested in the amp, as long as the price is right, of course! Is the amp compatible with the stock head unit (just showing off my stereo ignorance!)? I like to keep things as original as possible (except for the never-ending quest for speed!!!). If you can give me some more info, it would be much appreciated!

From what I understand it's rather quite easy to do. I myself have never done it but. I know it can be done using an amp with high level inputs or a low level converter. Of course the sound will suffer. But it's a small price to pay for personal peace in knowing your stereo is less of a target. If you have a good installer you could use a new h/u but use the panel off the front of your stock stereo as a cover. It wouldnt be functional but just act as camoflauge. As far as 15" vega strokers I hope your talking about in the bed
And if your not wanting to be noticed I would avoid those. I do know they are power hungry and require a lot of air space. I have never used audiobahn amps, but have never heard anything bad about them. I have a little expirence with ppi/JL amps. I like them but not enough to drop my Phoenix gold. I was purely Xtant until I dropped the Zx-475 phoenix gold in, now I am in love all over again. In my L I am running an eclpise 55430 deck, a phoenix gold zx-475, polk audio dx 6.5 seperates. All in the stock speaker location, no holes cut here. The amp is a 4 channel and it's also pushing 2 JL 10w6s. The installers were amazed at the full range of sound that I was getting. In fact they were demoing it to other customers in the store. Best of all I have my seats all the way back. Not sacraficing any room. I ran all 4 gauge power and ground using an optimum deep cycle in the stock battery location. No more lights dimming and the truck seems to start a little better. From what I understand the Ls alternator is a little beefier than a normal F-150 A larger alternator oe even another smaller alternator added would more than likely cost a little hp (someone will correct me if I am wrong). A semi permanent resolution is a farad capacitor cap. Which stores power inline to the amp/s. Unless you want just ball shaking neighbor waking, kid impressing bass I would stay away from 15's. 10's imho sound the best. 12's are a close second. Tight bass is what I like, But having the ability to set off car alarms is also nice
