Post Boost Gauge

This gauge is great for pillar pods if you are looking for two gauges in one. Can be used for boost and intercooler temp. Anyone know where the boost sending unit is on the manifold?

I don't think there is a sending unit unless it's built into the gauge because they run a vacuum line up in behind the dash. Another reason I don't think there is is because when you wipe the computer memory(to clear codes or install chip) all the gauges peg when you start it except (if I remember correctly) the boost gauge. It just sits there. The vacuum line is a black 1/8" plastic line that come through the firewall above the go-fast pedal.

Thank you 4D. Ugh..thats not good, cuz this gauge and the sending unit, is electric. I do not want to remove, and drill a hole into the manifold. There must be another way.

I loved them and was going to buy some until I called the company and was told that the gauges that I wanted cost between $300-$350 EACH

Do they have their own sending unit? If they do just cut the tubing under the dash and tap into that. All you need is a 7/64 female X female X female rubber "T". Found mine for my Phantom gauge at Autozone. Hook your sending unit into that and wire it up to your gauge. That tubing is already tapped into the manifold.

I am really holding my breath for "electroluminescent" pod gauges a la Lightning colors. Is this a hopeless dream? I know that some manufacturer was hoping to produce indiglo gauges at some later point in time, but I doubt if it will resemble our stock look. Anybody in the know?

CA: Some boost guage install info here: https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/001245.html

And as 4D stated, mount the pressure sender inside the cab, under the dash somewhere. If for some reason you must mount it in the engine compartment, just trace the boost hose coming thru the firewall... I think it's the hard plastic hose right next to the big brake master cylinder.
