Been away for awhile...back now...couple ?'s
Hey everyone,
I checked out the FAQ and didn't find any answers I was looking for so here goes:
I've been debating the switch to steel wheels plus winter tires for the upcoming season. I found Pirelli makes the Scorpion Zero in a 285/50VR18 size. Has anyone experience with this tire in various weather conditions? Supposedly it gives excellent dry and wet traction. With the stock tires, last winter was an adventure that I don't want to repeat. But I'd really prefer staying with the stock wheels.
For Chicago area folks, have any of you gotten the Line-X bedliner? Any dealer recommendations? I checked out their website and found a couple in the area.
Looks like I'm a member of the Intercooler Leak Club. Noticed the tank bone dry last week with about 25k miles showing. Again, any Chicago area owners get this problem? Wondering how the dealer dealt with you. I'll be calling Wickstrom Ford.
Mike Troyer, I asked you last year about getting a chip for the L but never went through with it. The R9 looks mighty tasty. Could you contact me off-list with info on it? s1stl@dsl.telocity.com
It's amazing to see how big this board has gotten. Love the FAQ.
Thanks much.

There are these semi-new tires call Scorchers (supposed to be coming out on the Chevy Scorcher), half of the tire has tread for regular driving (dry pavement), the other side has stright channels for water (not sure of snow ratings), from what I hear from various people, they work real well in wet and dry driving. Might want to check it out, hope this helps.
