Needing some Horses

So my goal is to get about 500hp. Now with adding a CAI, pulley, and tune cans this be reached? Or what are some of the other things and I should be looking at? As for the pulley 4lb or 6lb?

Whipple, 60# injectors, SCT-2400 MAF, upgraded fuel pumps, colder plugs, and a good tune.

Full exhaust, fuel system upgrade, MP blower, 6lb pulley, MAF upgrade. That is the SAFEST way to achieve 500hp on your stock block.

I was mostly refering to the addition of a full exhaust. At those boost levels, you are going to need to expell some gases. If you have the MP makes your bum sore, thats fine, both blowers will make the power, but you NEED a good exhaust.

Adding the exhaust is fine; but, safety with the MP at 500 RWHP is out the window on a stock block. You have to spin the hell out of it to get there. The heat produced has to be crazy. The Whipple, on the other hand (or KB), is not even breathing hard yet. The intake temps are the key here. Plus, I know for a fact (personal experience), that you cannot get 500 rwhp out of the MP with just a 6# pulley. Not even close.

That's the Magnum Powers blower case replacement. You move your stock rotors, from your supercharger, over into it. It's supposed to be more efficient than the stock blower. It is in fact better than stock; but, it's not a huge improvement.

Odin is correct. It is a more efficiant case than the eaton. It is not a competitor for the KB or Whipple, but its a great bargin for the price. Some say it is safer on the stock internals because it won't hit as hard, some say it is not as safe on the stock internals as a whipple, because of air charge temps. Personally I think a Whipple would be HARDER on a stock motor, mostly due to the temptation to turn up the boost. (No arguing, the whipple will make more boost). If you are planning on going big some day, ya, the whipple or KB may be better. If you are on a budget, and will be satisfied with 500hp, the MP is great! It can also be harder to tune for big power, wich I feel is why a lot of people got bent out of shape about lack of power. On my stock block/MP I made 460hp on a very safe tune. I ended up going built block before I had a chance to up the tune, and now with a built block (stock compression) and mild heads cams, I am making 505hp on a BREAK IN tune! 600hp on an MP truck is possible. If you are interested do some searching on here for MP, and you will find lots of good and bad, and you can make your own desicion. Either way, far more important than the blower, make sure you upgrade your exhaust and fuel system to support that kind of power. Good luck!

I'm there now, here what it took, Kooks long tubes, high flow cats, Magnaflow catback, 4lb lower, Accufab throttle body, Whipple with a 3.375 upper, SCT tuner, 60lb injectors, SCT 2400maf, TR-6's, Warblo 255 fuel pumps, fuel rails, E-fan, water pump and I think thats it on the motor. I'm running a safe tune or as safe as I want to be and I made 490HP add a few more degrees of timing which is still pump gas safe and 510HP.

Minus the fuel rails and water pump, that's where I am. I run different pulleys; but, the result is the same. 12* of timing and 488 rwhp. 14* timing = 519rwhp. It's a daily driver and has been this way for a little short of a year now with no problems and plenty of heavy hits during cold weather. It's all in the tune and using the right support parts.
