Talking LOTEK 3 POD PILLAR UPDATE

Hi,
LO-TEK acknowledged cancellation of the contrat with no problems. They never cashed the check I sent them which I stopped payment on this morning as a precaution so I have all your money safe in my account.

I got an email from Auto-Meter the other day that they were in the process of doing a pillare pod mount for the F-150. I sent an email asking for further info but have not received an answer yet. It usually takes a couple of days for them to respond.

If you want your money back as one has requested I will send it or you can wait a few days to see what Autometer offers or if anyone knows of another manufacturer let me know.

If you want a refund please send me an email at noelvm@pdq.net and include your name that was on your check.
Noel

Noel,
Was the LO-Quality gauge arrangement an actual A pillar trim piece or a pod that attached to the trim piece? Will this new one be an attachment or a full trim piece?

Lyle at Lotek is highly concerned about the negative feedback they received on this board. They have sent me today a 2 gauge pod pillar for me to evaluate. They only requested an honest evaluation. They stated that in no way did anyone have to accept a substandard product and they would stand behind all their products. I have a didgital camera and I will do a good comparison with photos posted here when the pod arrives.
They claim the early unit shrinkage may have been caused by a bad batch of plastic pellets from a supplier that they are no longer using. I should have it this week.

Let me know how the two pod that you get fits. Mine did not fit too well. If yours is OK, I will send the one they sent me back for an exchange.

No offense Lyle but..

Noel,

send them an individually wrapped drinking straw with the following message:

Concentrate your efforts..

IMHO, it appears they are attempting to blow smoke up our.......

Seriously, I trust the unit you receive will fall under closer scrutiny. I for one am looking forward to pictures.. A painted unit is unacceptable.

No doubt ford can get plastic pellets in any color they want; however, a small manufacturer would not have this luxury. Ford interior dashes and pillars were all painted some years ago. I know the ones in my 83 Bronco were because some of the paint flaked off and they had to repaint it. The paint job held up fine. I had the Bronco for 10 years and put 283,000 miles on it. As long as you properly prep the piece and use the correct type of paint it should be no problem. Again, if you want your money back all you have to do is ask and the check will be in the mail tomorrow which will so far include checks to Jigawatt and TimBurntire.

This is too funny. Poor Lyle feels that he is getting bad press and wants and honest opinion. I guess the fact that I've got the product, I've installed it in the truck it was supposed to fit, I've seen it first hand and I've got pictures of how it looked means that I didn't give a fair opinion. There has not been one false statement and all of the pictures were taken by me. What a load of horse poop. If Lyle would like to come to sunny Florida and pay me a visit I'd be happy to show him how this piece of crap looks installed in a 30K truck. Oh and I guess the fact that they don't have a Lightning to work with is our problem. I still have the email he sent me that contains that lame excuse. If you would like I can post that as well.

They claim the early unit shrinkage may have been caused by a bad batch of plastic pellets from a supplier that they are no longer using. I should have it this week.
Is this guy for real or just related to another well know vendor that has an excuse for everything.

If the two pod fits OK that Lo-tek is mailing you, Lyle said that instead of shipping it back to him to go ahead and ship to me. If it fits a whole lot better than the one that I have, I'll keep it and mail the one back that I am now using.

I could tell that he truly wants to make it fit perfectly.

Anyway, get back to me if you don't have my address.
