Post Black or Silverfrost?

I am ordering a 2001L; unfortunately, have not seen the new silverfrost. My choices are now black or this new silver. Black looks great, but not without a lot of labor. I would appreciate anyones opinion if Silverfrost looks too plain for this truck; or whether to buy Black for its great look.

Black is quicker & slicker! A pain to keep looking good but worth it. If you ever need touch up work, you'll be glad you bought black. Silver is a b!tc# to match! Lloyd

Llyod is right Black is quicker...but a pain in the a$$ to keep clean. Thinking about some custom paint work. think I would save money in the long run on car washes and wax. on the plus side my forearms are sure getting bigger

Thumbs up

BTW, I just got a free bottle of touchup paint in the mail from Ford... Anyone else get this? Maybe it's just FORDSALES's dealership that does this...

Cool

SILVER RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tiny little scratches don't show up in silver
They show up big time in black
Silver looks cleaner longer
Black looks dirty before you finish drying it after a wash
Silver is faster
Black is slower
Silver stays cooler in the 110 degree summers
Black in the summer can kill you
Silver handels better
Black does not handle well
Silver is Metallic Paint
Black is flat paint
Silver looks great
Black looks great only when clean
The decision is easy
SILVER

Don't have either personally, but I must admit that Doug's is a sharp looking truck, and locally it's even more uncommon than white ones. Pictures don't do it justice. I'd have to vote silver.

Thanks Moonshine,

If I could just keep from scratching the hell out of it..... I see a custom paint job in my future... Just to cover all the little dings, wher the garage door opener kissed the Tonneu cover, the bottom of the front air dam, the rock dings.....
I need to find someone who has some talent first.

I would get into the Silver is faster arguments but in this case the Silver driver is slower, I am sure that the truck can keep up..... But wait I did beat 10 Lightnings to Hallsville and 4 back to Dallas at speeds 2x the legal limit.... that settles it Silver is the fastest !!!!

<grin>
Doug

PS if anyone tried to send me email over the last day or 3 send it again, it likely bounced. I had technical difficulties with forwarding from the new provider...

They have a point about black being faster, its just becouse everyone who ones a black one, washes it every day. Therefor the extra weight saved by getting rid of all that dirt each day, adds to speed. The silver, since most owners wash it once a week, by wednesday it has been slowed down by how much dirt has accumulated and the black is now faster.

So the moral of the story. A Clean truck it the fastest.

I love my Silver, it is a very nice color.

If you see them all lined up together, Black rules the day. I wash mine only once a week (back off you b@#$%rds!!!, LOL) and instead of being foolish and drying it by hand ( which doesn't work because water always spills out of somewhere), I simply drown it in spotless water and dry it at WOT. Never a swirl, never a scratch, and with a wax coat it looks like it sounds.
And then you merely have to ask yourself, do I want to be "pretty" or MANLY? "shiny", or bad ***? In short, DO YOU WANT TO BE A MAN,OR A WOMAN?
Okay, I guess I took that one a little too far, I apologize ladies.

Ralleyone: what is WOT? And where do you find spotless water? I'm in San Francisco and have never heard of that one before.....I agree, though, black does rule the visuals; but the silver picture above is a real grabber. Thanks for everyones response!
