Question LOTEK 3 POD PILLAR BUYERS

Hi group buyers.
I am sure that you have all read the post on the two pod pillar from Lotek and are, as I am concerned that the product will not meet our expectations. I would tell you that to their credit they have not cashed the check I sent them several weeks ago. However, I think some qualifications need to be put into the contract with Lotek.

1. An inspection unit will be built and shipped to me for approval prior to group build and must be approved by me. If unit is unsatisfactory, unit must be changed, and new test unit sent for approval. If unit cannot be made to my satisfaction, contract will be declared void and a full refund of all money paid will be returned; or option 2

stop payment on the check, email Lotek to stop as we are cancelling the order, and I will immediately refund everyones money.

You all make the call. Please post here ONLY if you are a buyer in the group purchase for the 3 pod pillar.

Hi Noel, if they will go along with the inspection process, then I say "lets go for it". If they give you any grief at all it might be best to cut and run with our money!!!

After reading all the problems with the 2 pod pillar, I'm inclined to stop payment on their check Monday and cancel the deal. I have a lead on another company that is going to make a 3 pod pillar. It doesn't seem that Lotek got anything right.

Hey guys, I was thinking that great place to put some gauges is where the cup holders are. I know I never use mine, and I think that would be a cool spot. I don't know what it would it would take to fabricate something for this but it cant be hard. Just get a piece of plastic (black or grey to match dash ofcourse) cut to fit the space once cup holders are removed and cut out holes for what ever size gauges decided upon. It just seem to be a better spot than where the piller gauges are. There might even be somethig out there right now that is made to fit our trucks. I will do some looking around. Later!

Noel,

It's your call on the pillars. I appreciate that you are trying to get us good quality units, and thank you for staying on top of things.

I am as concerned by the paint being scratch-prone as by the fit. The pillar is right there in my sight, and I don't want it looking like hell in 6 months.

If you have an alternative vendor in mind, it might be a good idea to contact them.

Noel,

Not that I don't trust your judgement but I think it is time to cut them loose and move on. However, I do have one question. Do we have a written contract with this organization or is it verbal?

Either way, I vote to cancel payment on the check.

To risk repeating myself, OK I will. Your persistence with Low-Tech and communications with us regarding this matter is greatly appreciated!!!

I definetly do not have any faith in LoTek. i have worked in a industry that requires molds to make automotive parts and i can tell you that they are not going to design a new mold. What they will try to do is reshape the exixting mol. I agree that we should cancel this order, get our money and run like hell from this company,

Cool

Noel--Its your call to use your judgement on fit and finish...but my gut feeling is it will never happen. I heard raves on the Grand National unit, so WTF. You call it bro.

I'm with the maj. so far...go ahead and cancel. I don't want anything that is going to be so easily scratched either. They should be able to mold the color into the unit. I have time...I can wait for a suitable piece from a willing company!

I trust your judgement. All I want is a quality product. If you have to cancel and go with another company to get the best, then feel free to do so. I'm not in a hurry. Do what does best for all involved. Thanks for all you hard work.

Also I am in no hurry, I want a good product and really would like to have a pillar pod if possible.
