108 octane for a Lightning?

Post 108 octane for a Lightning?

i myself own a R/T and i think lightnings are pretty bad a$$, my friend just bought a 2000 silver, real sharp, but he says that he can only run 108 octane and hes got no mods,..is that true

No, that's a line of BS. My lightning has a Chip & filter, 93 octane runs great. No ping. No ping when stock. 108? That's a good one! Lloyd

to tell the truth, from the factory the truck is calibrated to run 87 octane regular, regardless of what the manual says, if it's a '00 it can be calibrated for 93 by the dealer.

Thats what I told him, I said I know your truck hauls a$$ but its not a nastruck or anything, I thought I'd ask you guys since ya'all know what Your talkin about..
