Got my first Bolt related speeding ticket today. Small change compared to some of you other folk...84 in a 55. 29 over the speedimit, thats a 4 point ticket in NJ for $213 plus 4 points = $400/yr for the next 3 years in CAR INSURANCE surchages... I need a new state.

I'm mad at myself because I wasn't even conciously THINKING about driving fast at that point, I was on my way to the movies in the middle lane! Grrr.

The police officer said as a "favor" for having a PBA card that if I get a lawyer and arrange a plea bargain for a lesser offense he'd try to get that accepted.

Damn waste of money, I need to get a new radar detector already... Would have saved my butt on this one.

I lived in NJ for a long time. I don't miss it!!! It was the radar capital of the country. You don't really need a lawyer, you just need to go to court early and talk to the prosecutor. Tell him/her you don't think you were going that fast and would plead guilty to a lesser charge. It ALWAYS worked for me.
