Are any other L owners also into racing sims?
Just wondering if any other L owners are also into PC Racing simulators? That's where the racer in mracer comes from. I have been sim racing for quite some time and currently belong to a weekly NASCAR 3 Internet racing league.

I also dabble in Grand Prix Legends and a new sim called NASCAR Heat. I've been having a blast throwing a 3400 pound stock car around Sears Point and Watkins Glen in Heat.
Basically, I love banked tracks and road courses and hate flat tracks, with the exception of Martinsville. (I love to beat and bang on short tracks, too.)

MRacer,
I'm a racing sim fan and love to toss a Kart around too. The game that has me totally enthralled at the moment is EA sports' F1 2000. All the 2000 season tracks, including Indy
Awesome with a M$ Force Feedback wheel and Intensor chair. It includes alot of the setup features as GP2 (another GREAT game but GP2 requires win 95 only
trust me I've looked for the patches.)
I have Grand Prix Legends too but need to play it more for practice. Then tackle it online.
Other Sims...
Grand Prix 2 (GP2)
CART Precision racing
NASCAR Revolution
NASCAR Racing 2
Motorcross Madness 2 (just for fun)
Need for Speed 2, 2SE, 3
Carmageddon 1 and 2 (Racing sim meets Doom)
Revolt (just for fun)
Jeff Gordon's XS Racing (so so) too much sponsorship crap. (Boy, am I hungry for Fritos and Pepsi)
Midtown Madness (SUUUUCK)
Test Drive 4 (SUUUUCK)

I'm into GPL big-time, and I'm in a couple of on-line leagues.
I also like NASCAR 3, and play Grand Prix 3 occasionally.
Now that I've started drag racing the L, I want a decent dragracing sim, too.

Hey Speedin Bob, I forgot to mention F1 2000. I do that too. I spent several hours working my Indy setup, the same weekend as the U.S. GP. Kinda cool, hanging out the rear end of Schumachers Ferrari at 180 mph.
I only run what I consider hard core sims, or at least ones that have a hard core, full simulation mode.
Right now the following are on my hard drive.
NASCAR Heat
NASCAR 3
NASCAR Legends
Grand Prix Legends
F1 2000
Viper Racing
Sports Car GT
Dirt Track Racing
Superbike World Championship
DreaminAboutL, unfortunately Test Drive Six is not a simulation, and in fact a pretty poor arcade racer as well. Too bad, I want a sim with a Lightning to drive.
Baddog, isn't GPL just way cool? 4 wheel drifts in a 1967 Lotus at the old Watkins Glen, is a taste of heaven.

MRacer,
I found a setup for Indy that gets me to 210 mph just before hitting the binders for turn 1. Best lap time @ Indy is 1:12
I get my patches primarily from http://www.bhmotorsports.com/
Gordon,
I remember talking to you about GPL in Norwalk. Hence my mentioning i need to re-install and practice, practice.
Drop me an email at speedinbob@home.com
as I would like to try my hand at some online dicing and apexing.
