I saw the Cervini hood scoop in the earlier post. What is the name of the scoop that looks similar to the '96 Mustang Cobras? I saw it in an earlier pictures of someones black L, but didn't know the manufacturer. Also, do any of these hood scoops offer any functionality, or is this strictly for aesthetics?

If you do, it is the F1 Cobra hood by American Auto Designes. It is non functional ram-air hood, it is only for looks. But if you have Nitrous, it makes a cool purging place !!! Ill post those pics later

 

Thanks Lightning Boy, that is EXACTLY what I was thinking of. How much? Will they paint to match my new 01 silverfrost color? Can you self install, or should it be done by a shop? By the way, your L is awsome....

The hood will the shiped to you in gray primer, you will need a body shop near you to paint it. The hood costs $595 and $95 for shipping. Total cost for hood + shipping + paint will be around $1000. Here is a link to AAD's website: http://www.americanautodesigns.com/product.htm

Lightning Boy - Please don't post any more pics like these. I saw them and made the mistake of calling my wife in to see something really cool. She agreed that it was pretty interesting but she happend to notice the price tag. Her comment was "A THOUSAND BUCKS?" I think we need to come up with some kind of code for the prices of things.

Oh well, guess I won't be passing a new hood off as an inexpensive side project.
