Question Should I Be Upset?

First of all, I don't know much about emissions regulations and the like, but from what I've heard I'm pretty sure that California has the strictest policies when it comes to this. Here's my question: When I was at the registry today, I noticed that my title (technically Ford's title I guess) said "authorized for sale in CA". Does this make my L slower (or put out less power) than and L made for sale in Massachusetts (where I live)? If so, should I replace the exhaust with one less restrictive (which I otherwise was going to wait to do)? And another thing, when I went to get it inspected, I noticed something like "mf'd by Ford of Canada" on the inner door jam. What is going on- and should I be upset (or at the very least disappointed)? Thanks.

Don't get too upset. Us frost-bitten Canadian boys only beat you in one war. Can you believe it? We're still willing to make the best damn truck ever built and ship it south of the border.

Go figure!!!

Cool

I think mine was built in a converted Yugo plant in Sarajevo.

Thumbs up

So all L's were built in Canada, and all L's have the same emissions- sweet. Thanks for heads up. And I appreciate the creative replies too. Later...

Off of Ford's SVT web site.

Under FAQ's

Q. Does the High Altitude Principal Use or the California Emission option affect the performance of my SVT vehicle?

A. No. There is no performance difference for SVT vehicles equipped with either option.
