Question Opinions on TC's

Hey guys...I'm considering getting a high stall speed torque converter. I have seen that other Lightnings are dropping .5 sec with them at sea level. Anyone here have any opinions on them? And what will my lower torque and horsepower due to altitude do to the stall speed engagement on the TC? I have never personally driven a car with a performance Torque Converter, and have heard that it sacrifices driveability some, but I'm more concerned about the thing not working the same as the sea level Lightnings, cuz its stall speed is dependant upon input torque. Any help from experienced folks is appreciated. I really dont wanna get a different TC to compensate for altitude, and then not have it work when I come down out of the mountains.

Thanks guys.
