I was wondering whats the best chips and air filters kits out there . I was wondering if the air raid is a good one. And where can I get the best prices. Just got my 2000 silver LIGHTNING this past friday need to order stuff for winter projects. THANK YOU

 

If I had to do it all over again I would go with JohnnyLightning's Ram Air kit and chip. Or a Pro M and JL Ram Air and chip. I started with the AirRaid filter but then switched out the actualy filter (kept the box) for a BigMouth filter on a group buy. A bunch of us did this because the AirRaid's filter has a closed end which does not breath as good as an open end filter. The ProM mass air breaths the best (but is expensive) and JL has a set up that will allow you to adapt his RamAir kit to it. Don't even get started with who has the best chip. I have a PSP but it appears for all practical purposes, Sal has gone out of business (hasnt even answered his own board in 2 weeks). Superchips makes a good set up and that is what JL uses. I would recommend that who ever you get your filter from, you also arrange to get the chip from so the chip can be custom built for the particular filter that you get. Good luck, Jeff
