Question 2000 Winter Rims and Lug sizes...Need Help

I have searched and nowhere can I find the answer...

Many of you have gone to 16" Expy rims for slicks and snow tires, question is:

What rim fits the 2000 L, do I have to worry about different lug sizes, Do I just search for 2000 Expy or F150 16" Rims.

gotta make a decision soon, gonna put Bridgeston winter duelers 225 70 16 on for winter and need some help.

Thanks

I have seen '99 f150 16" steel wheels w/slicks on a 2000. The lugs are a tight fit, but will work. I use the same wheels for the winter with stock lugnuts and the center caps fit right over them.

I bought them from Discount tire for around $30-35 each. Good Luck

Eric,

Living in Alaska, this was something I went through last week. Ended up ordering wheels
and tires for an Expedition. Guy I delt with said it would work, and Tundra went through last winter with the same set-up. Wheels are 17" and tires are a littl taller than regular L's but it all fits.

Eric,

I have a set of 17" Expy wheels with TA radials on them that I use in the winter.

I know the TA's arent the best but they were in good shape and only 100.00 for all four.

Using the expy wheels, you can use the same lug nuts too.

Gotta dig them out soon....

Thanks Guys...

I pretty much have decided to go with Bridgestone Blizzaks in a 225 70 16 and have a chance to pick up 4 16" 2000 Expedition wheels for a song, but need to be sure they will fit.

the bridgestones seem to be almost exactly the same diameter of the stock F1's and my past experience with them has been excellant.

I ran 235 75 15 Blizzaks on my 94 L with excellant results and those tires saved my sheetmetal more than once...for sure.
