It's Here! Woohoo!!!
Everything seems to be fine. So far, so good. It was pretty dirty when I got it (dust and road scum), so I washed it as soon as I got home. Took my wife out to dinner in it tonight, we had a blast just riding about 40 miles there and back.
I'm already getting compliments.
Two guys came up to me at a gas station (was nearly empty when I picked it up) and wanted to know all about it, then the parking attendant at the restaurant told me, "sweet ride man" as I handed him my ticket.
So far, the things I love best are:
1. the low end "pull"
2. the 2-1 and 3-2 "kick"
3. the sound of the exhaust
4. the blower whine
5. that exhaust rumble, when you let out of it from about 70 mph, to slow down for a light or exit.
6. feeling like I am king of the road.

Welcome to the fast truck club, but, you gave your truck to a parking lot jockey???? Me thinks I would have dropped the miss's off and then parked it myself. O yeah, when I was 17 (many years ago) I use to be the one taking the keys and parking cars at a steak house. So believe me, Park it yourself!

Congrats & welscome.
One of the nice things about a Lightning is that the feeling never seems to wear off.
Got mine in early May '99 and have llk miles on it.
It is still a genuine pleasure to fire Moby up in the morning and again in the evening knowing that I will always enjoy the commute and quite often get the thumbs up or high five from other drivers. Also get the occasional street bash, although the truck's reputation has pretty much eliminated the wannabe racers desire to get humbled by a bloody truck.
Enjoy your ride, you chose well.

Hey Fast Gator, I agree completely. There is no way I would let a valet park my truck.
The guy who complimented me was just in the booth collecting money when you drive out the gated lot. Sorry for the confusion. This is one of those lots where you get your ticket validated by a store or eatery, and then you don't have to pay when you leave. I parked it in a diagonal spot all the way at the back of the lot, so that no cars could park next to me. My wife was really cool about it, she's the one who spotted that space for me. I have already promised her that when we go somewhere together and I park far away, I will drop her off and pick her up at the door.
Thanks for the kind words everyone.
