Women putting on makeup, are like painters painting over a crack in a wall.

IT REALLY DOESN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

Yeah, but since we don't have to go home with them, I figure that any form of helping to keep America beautiful -- even if it's a front -- I'm for it.

As long as they don't drop the lipstick on the seat on a hot day and have it melt into the fabric or leather...

You beat me to it. I see a lot of women farding. It is amazing to me how they can use the cell phone, turning signals, steering wheel and fard all at the same time.

Question

i must confess.

Witnessing this act and attempting to apply the term "Farding" leaves me rather perplexed.

Is this a unique term in your collective automotive vernacular? Please define for I find endless humor in it.

Well, it's one louder isn't it.

Webster's 20th Century Unabridge Dictionary, page 664 defines "FARD" to paint, as the face or cheeks: to paint (especially with rouge)

Therefore, in today's society, most women fard.

I must cop to the fact that I did have to look that one up.

On my way home today, in traffic naturally, there was this lady who was doing her makeup. She must have figured that in bumper to bumper traffic it was a perfect time. The problem was, and this is not the first time I've seen this, she's totally entranced with her face in the mirror and yet she strats to drive forward because she detects it in her peripheral vision, the whole time never removing her eyes from the mirror. And every single time she almost hits the car in front of her because she isn't watchng where she's going and has nothing more than a vague idea where the vehicle in front of her is. Granted, she's only doing 3mph at most but the fact is if she had rear ended my truck, even at three mph, she'd need a lot more than make up to fix her face.
This stop and go act happened repeatedly. I just wanted to slap her.
Now before everyone jomps on me, here are the answers to the inevitable questions. Yes, I was watching where I was going. No, I wasn't watching her while I was moving. She always moved a little after everyone else did and stopped almost a little too late. And yes, I've seen guys shaving while driving. They too should be dragged out of their vehicles and shot on sight. The women too.
Thank you for your support.

The only thing worse than a woman who likes to fard in a Ford is a woman who is heavy in a Chevy.

LOL!!!

I actually saw a woman using one of those eyelash-curling contraptions while in stop and go traffic! If someone had rearended her, she'd have lost every eyelash she had at once!!! Can we say ouch!!!?? How about "get up 5 minutes earlier!!!"??

Hell, I know better than to try that mess. I have a hard time chewing gum and walking LOL

(No, not really)

Cool

Come on Kobioshi........tell us how you really feel.

By the way, I heard that farding in a Ford in England gets a farthing fine.

CA,

Maybe you could show me that 'quick-change' technique @ WFC 2001?

Later,
