Well boys and girls, it was bound to happen. Heck, it only took a year and a half. This morning on my way to work, as I was mergeing onto Route 3 at 5am, three large dump trucks pass me by. All of a sudden I am pelted by gravel. Now I know now, the smart thing would be to slow down and let them get away from me. Yea right! I put the blower in a major league bind. WOT thru second, into third and leave the petal on the floor into overdrive. I blew past them dumpers so fast, they knew I was a Fast Gator. Unfortunatly, the East Rutherford Police Officer, that was mergeing onto 3 from 17 saw me also. I got slowed to 92 before he put the "light show" on me. Tell ya what, those white, red and blue strobe lights look like a damn UFO. As he walks up to the truck, I turn on my interior lights and put the keys on the dash. His first question is, "Didn't you see me?" Me, "No Sir". To which he replys, "You running late to work and where did you get the sticker?" The NJFA sticker, a get out of jail free, to you non New Jerseyians. As he looks at my D.L. he notes I also have a Motorcycle license. What kind of bike he asks? I tell him an old harley, to which he replys he has 2 new ones. As he hands me back my license, he says SLOW DOWN. I know this is long, but it just shows you what a little respect can get you. And yes, I did buy some lottery tickets tonight.
