Thumbs up Just wanted to say, "Thank You..."

to all the members on this board who help others out. I have not visited the boards in a while until last night. I started hearing what I thought was a lifter ticking about 2 or 3 weeks ago. At least that was what I thought it was until last night. I did a search and found this thread:

All I can say is wow am I lucky. I checked all the plugs today and almost quit on the fourth plug on the driver's side. Boy am I glad I didn't! It was about a half turn loose. It had been so long since I changed the plugs that I could not remember how to get that stupid 7mm screw out. But, I stuck with it and finally did.

Thanks again!!!!!!

GOOD SAVE WOO HOO!!!
And DEF always the first move when you have a tick or tap coming from that area of the motor. I ALWAYS recommend people check the plugs if they hear something like that.

Mainly because it was almost a giving there for a while (certain yrs) you'd actually recieve your brand new Lightning (or other ford 5.4's) with lose plugs. After me reading about it back here in 01 and 02 I checked mine when I first bought the 02 when it had @ 500 miles (actually I did the Filter Chip Pully n Plug Mod ) two of mine were lose, 1 was very wobbly hand tight I'm ready to spit out lose

Since then (and another L later) I check and change mine OFTEN.
I also believe a large part (if not all) of spit plugs are a direct result of them being lose, "or" as a result of them being lose sometime in it's life which ruined the few threads we had to start with, hence not holding them in proper.....

Good Save f150ldc and your welcome
