I hear a lot of talk lately about shop manuals specific to our L's. How many of these are there, and where's the best place to buy them? Do you have to get them from a Ford dealer? Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Helm (www.helm.com) is the only place I know of to get the official shop manuals. Lightning specific info is included in the standard F150 manuals.

 

You can also order them from your Owners Manual. There is a supliment for the Lightning that is Free.

 

I bought the compete set of manuals on CD for my 2000. It covers all 00/01 trucks. I bought it on E-bay. Do a search for "Ford CD". I got mine for $45, they are well over $1000 from Ford.
