Oh My Dear Lord- I Love Ford!
Let me first start off by saying that I picked up a 2000 Lightning today (silver), and I am sooo impressed with it. I know you're not supposed to really get on it at first, but that lasted about 6.5 seconds. I was coming out of a 2000 F150 Lariat Xcab 4x4 with the 5.4 liter (which at the time seemed pretty quick), but after taking the L for a spin, I was sold. The dealer was super cool throughout the whole process (read I'm 22), and as far as I can tell he gave me a pretty good deal. The truck had 250 miles on it when I bought it (cause the owner took it to a car show), and after I used Fords college grad program- it ran me $27,100 plus financing. The place was amazing (Autofair Ford in NH)- and they had about 5 Saleen Stangs, a Saleen Explorer (if I'm not mistaken), a HD F150, a Cobra R and a few other L's. Real nice place. Anyway, I just wanted to intro myself- and thank everyone for all the advice, tips, and posts I've been reading about the past few weeks. Hopefully I'll be able to start doing more than just reading. Later...
Welcome to the board. If you are impressed now, just wait til you add the requisite mods- chip, filter, and gears- then you won't believe it.

Jake, the MX does refer to motocross. I've been riding for about 8 years, racing for the past 5 years, and just won the 250cc New England Amateur Championship a few months ago and turned expert shortly thereafter. Do you or anyone else ride? Later...

MX,
Yea, I used to race motocross, until my body overruled my mind's ambition to torture myself. Sure was fun while it lasted!
I do still have a Polaris 400 Sport ATV that manages to scare the bejesus out of me on occasion.
Congrats on your amateur championship, that's quite an accomplishment. Good luck in the expert class!
