What are we looking at?
Is that a light that sticks out of the hood?
Is is supposed to shine out of the ram air ducts?

I got one on order, back order that is

Dont take this wrong, but I don't get it.

Red:

When you get the hood you'll understand...

Spend a couple of dozen hours trying to tastefully fill the gaping holes, you'll understand why I was nice enough to post a simple yet perfect solution.

Light sticking out of the hood, get real...

Dave:

Let me start by saying the hood is top-quality. Perfect fit and finsh. My bodyshop guys loved it.

The issue is that Cervinis doesn't provided any type of cover/plug or screen to keep debris(birds & bugs) out of the engine compartment.

I tried plexiglass(smoked and clear), billet bars, etc. since I have strobes under the hood. I finally gave up and chose an easy solution. Alluminum wire mesh.

I was able to cut, shape, paint(black then clear) and install with small amounts of hot-glue in a matter of less than 2 hours.

I only use the truck for show but still wanted to get the holes filled with something. It looks finished now.
Cervinis needs to get off their a$$es and produce the ram-air kit soon.

Just thought I'd share the solution with other owners of the hood.

TBL,

Looks nice! I used the same exact material, courtesy of Rob G, painted mine black but didn't clear coat it. I tilted mine back a little, looks awesome, I will take some pics soon.

I'm curious how did you go about trying the billet bars. I have billet grilles and was thinking I might try that in the future.

Ohhhhh, the "Spelling Police" are out. I was unaware that Steve had assigned a "Grammar Enforcer" for the Lightning Board,I must have missed that memo/email...Lighten up fellas.

TB,the mesh looks good,I'm sure it looks better than the "PlexiglasS" Do you have any pics w/ the "PlexiglasS" ? I am curious to see exactly what the "PlexiglasS" looked like in there.

And yes the light is the modification,TB even has some in his wheels. They look killer at night! Much better than the "PlexiglasS".

I don't even respond to BullDung anymore.

Here's a close up of the plexi.

And just so everyone knows, I don't have lights in the wheels....

I have that hood on my L, and pretty soon to be on my stang. I have the cowl version though. The screen does look cool. Maybe if I get a wild hair I"ll change mine to look like yours.

Got to be quick around here....
Cash spendin', mod. installin', digital camera snappin' fools, the lot of us....

Hey, and as far as the touch light that BullDung refered to... That's a reflection of a garage light six feet up on a perfectly polished hood....
