OK gentlemen:

After talking about it for some time, the local Detroit area Dakota R/T owners would like to invite you to a FRIENDLY grudge match at Milan Dragway on Wednesday October 11, 2000.

This is a regular T&T day for Milan so there may be allot of others out there depending on weather.

The gates open at 4:00. Let's shoot for 5:30-6:00 being the "official" start time for the competition. Obviously some might be able to get there earlier and run too. The earlier the better, but due to work, some may not be able to arrive until 5:30-6:00.

We look forward to meeting everyone that can attend. It should prove to be a fun/exciting turnout. Look for about 5-7 R/Ts in attendance.

I would like to meet some of you MI L. boys. Thinking about making the trip. Are there any cool Ford things to see up there in Deerborne. Maybe I'll make a day of it.

If you come to Dearborn, check out Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum. Both are great.

There is also the Automotive Hall of Fame. I still haven't been there, so I can't offer a review, but it's got to have SOMETHING interesting in it.

Last time I went to a R/T & Lightning grudge match only 2 Dodges showed up, a supercharged R/T that didn't want to race, & a 4.7 R/T wanabee, with mods running 14.90's. I'm too far away, but hope to run a S/C R/T, That would be fun!

Glad to se you can take some joking. Met up with a full size Dodge at the track tonight. I raced him last year and he was running 12.50's on the bottle. I beat him by a couple tenths then. Over the winter he built a 409 stroker Magnum motor said he has gone 12.50 no bottle 11.40 on the bottle. So we lined up again both were running 13.0's no bottle (track was terrible) but on the bottle he handed me my a$$ on a plate. 11.78 @ 115.66 mph. I launched good but hit second gear and went side ways got out of it. Ran the rest without the juice went 12.98 @ 104. I'll see if he wants to come to the R/T (Dodge) vs Lightning (Ford) Fest. He's a nice guy and after a little tuning I want a rematch.
