My Lightning vs 05 GTO vs 350z vs civic hatch
Went to area 51 and had some decent runs with a few of my friends.
Mods
03 L - 2.8 upper, tune, cai, exhaust, nitto drag radials 386/470
05 GTO - a4 stock
350z - test pipes, cai, bald tires showing the wire
civic hatch - motor swap, lsd, 80 shot
We raced from various speeds, digs, 20 rolls, 35 rolls, and a few highway blasts.
Overall I beat every car out there with the GTO being the only car to give me a loss. From a stop I would say the Lightning would be faster with traction, from a roll he edges me out past 80 pretty good. Our first race was from a stop to about 115-120 with him a decent car ahead.
There is another video of in car from the gto but the owner hasn't posted it yet, will post when it comes up.
I think the Lightning might need a lower now for another 30 hp or so to prevent any pulling back once we get going.. or I might just bring the cobra out to play

Awesome video...I think you'll beat the GTO in the quarter mile at a drag strip...you're doing an awful lot of spending on takeoff...at the strip, you'd be hooking up...

I'm kicking around the idea of adding a 4lb lower on top of the 2.8, I know I would need spark pulgs, a mafia for saftey and a new tune. I have an aftermarket computer and I wonder if they could tune it just through that instead of me getting an xcal. What would a 4lb do as far as horsepower and torque if i'm making 386/470 right now? I heard 450 is the limit for the stock blocks, or rods lol. I don't want to break the daily driver...
Spyder- You won't need a mafia with 6 extra lbs over stock. The added 4 Lb should easily place you over 400 rwhp with a good tune most likely like 410 with your combo.Get a set of NGK Tr6 or Denso It22's and your golden . Power you will also feel!
