Hello, I'm a new member and I got my 2000 L about 2 weeks ago. I noticed members posting there vehicle number and wondered how you can find out your number?

When they are done with the prodution run for the year, and when they get the numbers together you can call the SVT hotline and they will tell you. Eventually you will get a certificate in the mail with your number from SVT.

Welcome! And which is faster... your 540 or your L??

Thanks for the info !!! In response to which is faster b/t the L and the 540, I will eventually get one of my friends and find out. But my opinion is that if the 540 which is a 6-speed is driven properly it will stay close to the L to about 100mhp then run past it thereafter. The 540 is built for the highway and has no problem reaching it's 155 governed limiter.

 

I for one, have blown by manual 540s on several occasions. Really not all that close, however I do have a filter and R9 chip. I do agree that after 100 or so, the 540 would start to walk gently away.
