Angry Coyote damaged exhaust

Wife is driving home one night and a coyote gets hit by the guy in front of her and she tries to miss it but has to get back into her lane cause of oncoming traffic. The "dog" ends up hitting the side exhaust and pushes it into the fairing and cracks the fairing. The tips are still aligned but moved to the rear a few inches. Got to replace the fairing and fix the exhaust. The pipes where the muff hooks to the cat system is pulled off a bit. That is where the aft movement came from I think.

There was coyote hair stuck between the rear rim and tire, sticking out of the "bead" area.

What are some good after market exhaust systems besides Borla and Flow muffs?
Thanks all........

Sorry about the exhaust, and the poor coyote.

I like the sound of the dual flowmasters myself, I'm sure the stainless steel Borlas are nice too.

Best she swerved enough to only catch the exhaust instead of the front clip.

Screw the coyote.... More than likely it was a carcass by the time it got to her anyway. IF not, I'm sure it was after.

Sorry about your truck. Kudos to your wife for not panicing and getting shiny side down.

Cool

I was in traffic when that happened! Hey Ramona, I'm the other Red 99 Lightning in Ramona. Missed the critter, but the same happened to my exhaust w/ a semi retread!
Bassani makes a good exhaust for our Ls. Adrian @ Stallion in Poway can get the exhaust. Just my opinion!

Hey Mystic, You running the Bassani?
Or anyone got a audio clip.

She did a good job avoiding frontal damage and even worse, getting into an accident.

Screw the coyote. Nows a good time to add an Eldebrock 5512 muffler. Requires a new exhaust from muffler to tips anyway. Sounds great, doesn't leak like factory muffler (have you looked at the seams on yours) and flows more air than the factory and has a great sound without being bothersome.

In defense of the Coyote. I have one that I raised on a bottle about 8 years ago. Actually I had two but one died. I keep it at my parents house, very intresting animals, smart too.

Talking

May be, but if stats are available, I believe that they would show that between vehicles and coyotes: VEHICLES--MUCHO, COYOTES-- 0 ...

Well, between vehicles and people, vehicles mucho, people 0. Where does that rank us on the IQ scale compared to coyotes?

Thats too bad about your truck, atleast it wasn't a MOOSE!

I'd say their stats are about even. Close to 300 are hit every winter up here.

I personally went with straight pipes, but took them off for the winter. gained lots in performance, and cost only an afternoon, and $50 in parts. The sound droned a little bit on the highway, but I think it was worth it. It really shut them dodge trucks up when they had their windows down, and interrupted the cell phone people.

HIGH RISK I hear has a good and LOUD setup, but its a complete system.
