abs

For the past week or so, when I'm driving... even on a straight highway doing 60-70 my ABS light comes on and my truck will shut off and all of my gauges go crazy... the speedo shoots up to 140, everything goes up..
Any ideas?

Possible bad/weak battery, or poor battery connections?? mine fliped the gages once one day and the next day the 6 month old "parts store battery" was completley dead/tested out to being shorted out internally......changed out battery with a new motorcraft battery and cleaned connections and never had a problem again........

Check battery connections. Sounds like something is loose.

LeAnne....sounds exactly like a weak battery. My truck was having ALL KINDS of issues electrically. Changed out everything under the sun....just to find my battery was weak.

LA do you have a Chip in there or use a Hand Held ?
If it's a Chip take it out and put it back in, other wise I'm with everyone else.

BTW mine does the weird pin the gauge trick on startup "sometimes",
but I have no other issues, when mine shows 140, I'M DOING 140

I am... actually my father wants it, so it won't be going too far away, but I think he might want to sell his gen 1 first. It'll kill me seeing it though.. I was kind of hoping it would go farrrrr away. We'll see what happens..

Rob, I don't have a chip

Hey thats cool, keep it in the family.

I know someone looking for a Gen 1 now. He lives in Jackson,NJ. Give me some details about it (body/paint/interior shape, miles, mods, etc...) and a price.
