Anyone out there in the 11's, if so do you have a roll cage in cab? or would a roll bar in box be exceptable? I hope to soon be in that ET range,(Milan oct 11th)and wondering what others have done.Around here if you run 11's with no roll cage the track wont let you run again untill you implement one.I need some ideas,Thanks in advance.

I know for a fact that one member posted a pic of his roll cage a while back. You might want to try a search. In my own opinion, it made it look horrible, but he said that he was only using the truck for racing purposes anyways.

hey chains,at mid michigan motorplex i think you can go 11.5 without a cage as it is ihra sanctioned. you could use this track for testing,and go to a closer track and no when to let off the gas.a roll cage would not look good in my opions,but everyone no's about opinions. later

Thought you bought a Johnny Lightning Ram Air? You sandbaggin buddy?

The member that made the roll bar was Ruslow. It was a three point cage inside the cab. It utilized the factory mounting bolts for the cab yet you had to drill four holes in the hump for the third connection point. It didn't look bad but the bar leading from the "hoop to the hump" would sure tweak the melon if you bumped it without a helmet. I had some pics but I found the link(s).

I take it you found the Nitrous setup you were looking for. WOOHOO!

Gonna have to take a rain check on the Milan match. It would take about 6 hours to get to Milan.

My L is at the dealer for new intercooler and will be graced by a Johnny L Ram Air following its return. Driving a Ranger just doesn't cut it.

I don't think Ruslow's roll bar is NHRA or IHRA legal. I think he built it for some type of road racing. From what I understand there has to be two bars going back through the back of the cab to the frame and two going forward along the arm rests to the floor by your feet. Meeting the loop at shoulder height. I haven't addressed this issue yet. Alot of my friends work at Milan so they look the other way. NHRA (Milan) is 11.99 for a cage. IHRA (Norwalk) is 11.50. This meet we are going to in E-Town is NHRA so hopefully I'll need to address this before going or not run the bottle.

Chains, I'll E mail you. I know a guy that lives about a half mile from Milan. He builds dragsters all chrome moly low 7 sec stuff. I was going to talk to him about a cage he knows the rule book inside out.
