Did everyone have a good time? Any pics, comments, tickets?

 

I guess I'll be the first to answer this one. It was a pretty good drive up. Amazing to see so many Lightnings lined up on after the other (even better to see them in front of the Corvettes). Too bad that I didn't get to see what they really could do, (i.e. speed wise, or burnouts). Great pictures as well. Me and a friend drove up, took about 2 hours, we stayed there for an hour and a half, talked to various people, and then we headed home (had a date that night.) I noticed some of the L owners taking off pretty early. All in all, it was pretty cool. Nice meeting all of you, FORDSALES, SuperChicken, Alphadoggy, (and anyone I forgot). Will post pictures when I get them developed.

-p.s. FORDSALES, you're right, the chrome DOES look great on the Black L's. Will try and load up some of the video I shot later on.

p.p.s Sorry to the White Lightning I accident cut off then had to slam on my brakes!!

It was awesome! I don't know why all the Lightnings left early, but I had a wonderful time. I think people overlooked the fact that the highlight of the trip was the actual driving! Two Cobras and I (a Mercedes CLK430) hauled *** through Rt. 150 (Ojai), and it was some of the most entertaining driving I've ever done! I enjoyed meeting all you guys- Superchicken and Fordsales, especially; didn't get the chance to talk to many others.... Can't wait for the one in the Spring!
Oh, and there were no tickets- a motorcycle cop cruised by to check us out in Pismo, but left right away. I hit the speed limiter at 137 MPH on the way home, too.

Ando, it was cool meeting you. Didn't get to talk with you much either. Just an introduction really. You have one nice ride. Glad to know that I wasn't the only one driving fast out there. I tried following the pathes of two mustangs, one GT, and one Saleen, but they were too fast for me. Where will the next meet be?? Mind if I add some suggestions to the next one?

 

I had a great time. I loved it. The drive up was great and the drive back was also great(except for spending $217.99 a gallon for gas)

Matt did a fantastic job organizing the group. Hard to believe but I did not notice any Chevy or Ford guys punching it out, not once. Either a miracle in its self or the skills of Matt. I'm not sure which.

Loved meeting all the guys and gals. Good food at the crab place in Pismo. Drank wine all night with Superchicken and his wife. Made reeeeal good friends with PD Lightning just in case I get stopped going through Ventura speeding.

O yes, Ando. nice guy. But Ando never, never, never bring your car again to one of these meets if I going along with my wife. All she talked about was: "Maybe she could trade her 2000 E320 in on one."

I told you BlackBolt99. They look really fantastic on a black L.

Alex, I need to get your antenna info. again.

CSM was great! Had a really good time. The Lightning owners came out in force!

The next CSM will be sometime next spring. Looking to really make it awesome, and incorporate a car show. Planning has already begun to ensure a killer meet.

Hey Fordsales, you're not the only one whose wife is asking for my car! The wives of the Cobra guys I drove up with asked for a 'spin' around the parking lot, so I let loose and gave them a pretty scary ride. I think they both want my car now! Again, my apologies, but next time you should get her an E55 AMG or something... 4 doors and 0-60 in 5.2 secs!
Glad to hear you all had a good time. The next one (in the spring) is already being planned, like Matt said, and I'm trying to get Porsches, BMWs, MBs, Vipers, and other fun cars to go along as well. I think the small groups going their own directions method of driving really worked well- everyone grouped up with 3 or 4 other cars and did their own thing. See you all next time!

Those from So. Cal. did drive up together. There a few that somehow took a wrong turn and eventually met up later.

There was a long line of mustangs, camaros, etc., etc, and the L's.

We finally got to Pismo. Then the No. Cal's showed up. Everyone talked, showed their vehicles. Then everyone kinda formed small groupes and went to lunch. Some then drove home, others spent the night and went back next day.

 

BRIMSTONE, everyone was cruising together, but I know a lot of people also didn't like going under the speed limit so they went faster and people joined in. I was one. It was pointless though, b/c #1 I left my directions at my house, and #2 basically me going fast just gave me an extra 5 mins for me to use the bathroom and by the time I got back to my car, my friend was on the walkie talkies asking for thier postion. (Keep in mine they were 2 mile range.) So they cought up pretty quick.

p.s. Only suggestion I have for the next Meet, is maybe we go to a place where we can actually see how fast these vehicles are. Somewhere legal. And also a better spot, instead of a parking lot, maybe like near the beach, or Solvang. Some place where we can look at all the nice cars and trucks, but if we choose, go off and look around. Also maybe a place where all of us could go and eat and talk.

 

I think it would have been great if there was a place setup where we all could have gone for lunch? dinner? or maybe even just a snack so that we all could have sat around and swapped stories, etc.

 

Well, even though I was unable to attend at least I got to read about it. I had to be in Phoenix over the weekend. The only plus was that I stayed at the Ritz Carlton and got to drive 130mph for a little bit on the way home. Sounds like you all had a good time. Hopefully will be able to make it in the Spring. Please everyone post lots of pix.
