Hello to all!
I have been reading the posts here for 6 months or so now, ever since I first test drove the Lightining. I have been very interested in hearing about both the good and bad about this great truck. After much debate with my loving wife I convinced her that I had to own one, But that I felt it was better to order the 2001, Because of the problems with intercoolers and such. After reading most of the faqs thought I knew just what to do to bring my new truck to life, With the addtion of a JL ram air and chip. Then to my surprize I find out that this is not possible at this point and time. I do have great faith in the aftermarket to allow us to obtain the ability to refine our vehicles to a higher level of performance defined by each person's own needs. I look forward to the day I read A post from Mike or JL saying that my prayers have been answered, Maybe I am incorrect but if you increase air flow and exhaust without a new chip to change the parameters of the engine, you can not obtain optium performance.
Thank you all for the information that you have shared as well as tips to improve appearance. The anticipation is killing me because even stock, this truck is GREAT!!!

hi bill i know the ram air will work on the 2001 and i know S/C will be comming out with somthing to enhance the performance too! so don't worry all is o.k...remember whenever you can force the much needed air up to these awsome machines its definatly a big + ! take care....JL
