Unhappy CD Changer

Hopped in the truck turned on the changer. Got "Bad disc" for all six slots, WTF? So I changed CDs made sure they were properly loaded and one would play but skipped like crazy, then quit. This was only the third time I have driven the truck (I have been overseas a lot lately) It's going to the Dealer on Thursday anyway but I was wondering if anyone had a suggested fix
TIA

Cool

GE - I had a problem with the player when I first picked up my truck but it wasn't quite like yours. Mine would stop playing on its' own if I hit a small bump in the road or even if I was parked in the driveway. The message read something like 'rejected disc'. I'd have to shutoff the truck and let it sit for a few minutes before it would play a CD again. Gave the truck to my neighbor, who is the service manager at a FMC dealership, and the player has never malfunctioned after he sent it out for repair. I heard there were originally two different brand names of players and FMC experienced more problems with one than the other. Sorry - don't know which one is which though. Good luck!
