Post Someplace between the assometer and dyno

G-Tech that is. An unscientific approach at best but I was looking for consistancy rather than accuracy. Battery was disconnected (read- reprogram the G-Tech after each change) and allowed to set a few moments inbetween the chip changes.
STOCK...316 HP
R-7.....346
R-9.....353
SWANSON.397
I have 410's, Pro M/filter, Dynomax Ultraflow
Several runs were made in each configuration with the best runs noted. I don't claim accuracy, just thought this was a interesting comparison.

LOL - had to respond to the assometer -- new phrase for me (will use, thank you).

Q: is it pronounced with the accent on the second or first-plus-third syllables (eg: ***-o-Meeeter, or ***-AHHH-meter)?

cute

Ken,

I noticed you have the dynomax ultraflow muffler. what kind of configuration do you have, two or a single muffler. Do you think it helped performance any or just helped sound?

Y2K7700....A literate friend (English major) seems to think the accent is on the second sylable...similiar to barometer. i.e. an instrument for measuring forward thrust especially sensitive for those with Preparation H in their center console.

Colins8....Although it did pick up some pep with the Ultraflow, it wasn't significant. The stock exhaust system seems to be adequate but with more HP it could become critical. I did it for performance because I was tired of loud mufflers (old Mustang) Others report dyno results are good with 2 in 2 out Ultraflow. Still others have lost torque with other mufflers...confusing...but thats engine building.....Ken

Hey Ken

Do you know Brian S. in fart lauderdale? he has a dark red thunderbird LX with a 3 inch cowl hood and a 5.4 in there??
He's a buddy of mine (and wyldman and any other thunderbird owner)
Just wondering if you have ever seen him around or tied to race him (that might be interesting)

Ray
