Talking I AM GETTING ONE!!!!!

Well I sold my white 95 Lightning and went looking for a 2K Silver. Called around and no one was willing to go too much under sticker. Tried one last dealership that ended up being about 20 miles away from me and got a 2000 Silver with 16 miles on it for $28,000. I should be able to get it on Wednesday as long as the guy does in fact buy my white 95.

I can't wait!

Cool

Awesome deal on the truck, I have been looking myself but everyone wants sticker. A local dealership in Tampa has 3 balck one and 1 silver. Where and how did you get such a good deal. Cn you please help me get a similar deal.

Congrats on your purchase, I drove one today for the 1st time, and I'm in love with that truck.

Robbyfl,

Are you interested in a slightly used one? See my post: 2000 Black Lightning for Sale (Baltimore, MD). You could fly in and pick it up.

ROBBYFL:

When you went to the dealer and saw the black vs. silver, what color did you prefer? Just wondering... about to order one or the other.

That is absolutely an AWESOME price, here in San Francisco Bay Area the best I could find was $1,000 below MSRP for a 2000. Even with the new 2001 models coming out, the dealers are still very "tight" letting go of their Y2K inventory. I would definitely not pass up your $28,000 offer.

Cool

All of the Lightnings colors look awesome. I drove the silver one, and I have seen the black and red ones. There seems to be a lot more of the black ones avail. Does anyone know how well the lightning does pulling a fairly large boat? Does the trac-Loc work well on wet boat ramps?

Robbyfl,

Try some of the online car buying sites and see what they give you for a price. I tried driveoff.com and that gave me an idea of what to ask for a truck. I did not end up going though the site but it gave me and idea and the confidence that I could get one for 28K in my area. I had to get one for 28K or I would not have been able to afford it. The sales guy where I bought my 2000 L said that he could do $28,500 and not a penny less. I told him thank you for your time and got up to leave and he asked if he could do if for $28,000 even would I buy today? I said yes and then he went to his boss and came back and said congratulations you just bought your self a new truck. I think it also might have helped because it was the very end of the month.

Good luck!

John
