Showing my truck to a friend & mistakenly thought I had plenty of room from the curb. Nope, hit the front passenger at about 2-3mph & now have little gouges & scratches. Called a company in Cambell,Ca & they said they could fix. I was just planning on trading them in for the core exchange for the chromed rims
I was soo embarrassed at first, now P.O.

Don't feel bad. I did the same thing at the supermarket yesterday. Just didn't want to admit to it. Did the company you talk w/ say how much $$$ it'd cost?

Yea Well I let my brother take the truck it comes back with the passanger side rims scrathed/gouged about 6 inchs- his excuse well a UPS truck veried in my lane so i moved over and bumped the curb- here is my reply- coughBULLS HITcough. That is why i have learned no one drives my truck, not even family ;-)

 

Well i guess its about time i come forward, i did this couple months ago, its along the whole border where the tire meets the rim about 16 in long. how coul i repair this. Any shop down here in south florida???

 

Don't feel too bad, I crunched my son's bike, and my front end, trying to get the truck into the garage during a hail storm. Luckily the damage was on the lower part of the fascia where you could barely see it. The Schwinn didn't do so well.

 

Well the place that is about 40 minutes away from me said its minor damage, he can fix it easy, but he needs to look to give price. He said don't buy a new rim he can fix it for less. Also, he said if I traded them in for the chromed ones, he wouldn't charge for the damage.

 

B A L can you post the name or phone of the company who can fix this....I have the same problem on one wheel. Thx idg@home.com

 

I got lucky, if you want to call it that. The dealership gouged mine (about 3 inches), tried to get away with it, I caught it, showed the service manager and now they are replacing it.
