m/t et tires
we tried air pressure from 19 lbs to as low as 12 lbs we launched at 800 1200 and 1500 also just off idle the tires lust seemed to spin, also tryed good burnouts and no burnouts still spun, we are going back tomorrow and run the stock f1 again and see what happens when we ran the stock tires before we ran 201 to 206 60 ft time, i dont know what to say so we are going to try the stock tires again timorrow.
With my ET Streets I only get around .3 off my 60' times, with the slicks I get around .5 . It really depends on the track. Also water from your front tires after rolling through the box sometimes will cause a problem. Try backing into the water box, or keep em burning as you roll out and up to the staging lanes. Remember the first time you use any MT tire it is best to burn them for at least 15 seconds.

Hey Fast Gail,
I have both 10.5s on 7" rims and 11.5s on 10 inch rims. I have tried every tire pressure combo known to man. From 26 lbs, dropping them down 1 lb at a time, (launching @ 1500 rpms) untill they quit spinning at 20 lbs w/ 1.89 60 ft and these are on NEW 11.5s that aren't completely broke in yet. Yes I break mine in differently.(Slow)
At 16-18 lbs I am actually running over my tire so it's 19 Lbs or 20 lbs for best launch.
How big a foot print are you putting down?
Also launching at idle does not preload the tires nor differential and you may be spinning because of the sudden shock to the drive train by just nailing it. IMHO!!
I'll have to start all over with the new torque convertor, though.
Dan

i'M ON 7" rims. I power brake and start at about 1500 rpm and go down until the tires hook good and don't spin more than once. Usually around 1000-1200. As the track cools you can generally go up a little but the truck also makes more HP as the track cools so you have to test it. The air has to be adjusted the first avg 3 runs and then I leave it at where ever it is which is usually about 17.5 hot and 14.5 cold for the rest of the nite. I had a 193.60' on Friday nite with an 8.44 in the 1/8 which is all my track is.
